I received this great craft card from Linda in the Netherlands.  She describes herself as in her thirties, happily married and mother of 4 kids.  She says that she lives in a hamlet on an island.   She sends greetings from Holland.

Erin sent this card from Taiwan.  She lives in the capital city.  She's a college student, and likes to travel very much.  She writes that she had been to Japan once when she was in Junior High School.  She really loves Japan and she hopes that she can visit here more often.

She wishes that I will like this postcard.

Signhild from Norway sent me this cool black and white card.  I have a special feeling for Norway as I lived there for about a year when I was a child.  I went to an American school, so I didn't learn Norwegian, but loved the country and the interesting people.

Signhild writes,"I grew up with the books of this guy (Abraham Berge) taking up a huge space in my mentality (and a bit smaller one in the bookshelfs, as he only wrote two..) Great was the surprise the day I learnt that he actually also had been a prime minister of Norway.  His books are on local history, so I guess he's never been translated. "  She closes by saying Happy Postcrossing and Greetings from Signhild.

This is one of those unusual cases where a card's picture and mailing point don't agree.

The card was sent from Sweden, but shows a view of Berlin.

Antoinette wrote,"Happy Postcrossing from Sweden! Have a good time and enjoy this b/w view from Berlin."

I didn't realize what I was seeing in the photo until I used Google translate on the description.  This is the Berlin Wall.  I had no idea until then! It's a historic card.

I saw this card on someone's Postcrossing wall a long time ago and loved it.  I hoped that I would receive one, but it seemed to be quite an old card.  I wasn't sure it was still available.  It is from a series of Canadian actors, so even though it isn't in my favourite black and white, I wanted it!  Imagine how happy I was when it popped up in my mailbox!

darkpunkangel was kind enough to send me this card.  She wrote a lovely message to me.  She started by saying, "Greetings from a fellow Canadian!"  One of her favourite Canadian movies of all time is called Bon Cop, Bad Cop.  She writes that it is about 2 cops, one from Toronto and one from Montreal, who are forced to join forces to solve some hockey related murders amongst rumours that a Canadian team is going to the States.

I loved this card. I was thrilled to receive it.  I watched a few episodes of Ironside in my youth.  

The stamp is a repeat of the front of the card basically, it is a printed on picture of Raymond Burr so I didn't scan it.

This pretty card was sent from Taiwan.  Kuo says that he hopes I like this clothes card.  He finishes by saying, "Have a good time."

Stefan sent this card from Germany.  He writes that near his town the world's biggest "Wine Fest" has just started.  It is located in Baddurkheim and is called "Wurstmarkt".  He says it is really nice and he wants to visit it.

Pat sends warm greetings from the "Windy City".  She writes that snow is very beautiful when you are inside drinking cocoa, but it creates hassles when we have to travel in it and shovel it.  She hates to think about the winter season.

As a Canadian person living in northern Japan, I know ALLLLLLL about snow!  I do much more snow shovelling here in Japan than I had to do in Canada.

It's a beautiful card...but it's making me scared for what is to come!

Cassie sent this card on September 2 and it arrived on the 11th.

She sends greetings from her state and writes that she just recently went to Texas where she got this chili recipe card.  She says that she actually made it once since she returned and everyone that she fed loved it.

She tells me to have a great day and wishes me a happy Postcrossing.

I'm always happy when people "chat" a little on the back of their postcard.  Just knowing that she tried out this recipe and liked it makes the card more special. Unfortunately, I'd have to do a lot of substituting to make this chili as it is difficult (and really expensive) to buy 2 pounds of stewing beef.

I rather like this series of stamps from Brazil.  They may be quite common there, but it is still rare for me to receive a postcard from Brazil so I like them.

I haven't seen these stamps before and they are rather interesting.  I wish there was an explanation for them.

A Postcrossing member has very kindly given me an explanation about the stamps.  It means, 450 years; The Council of State.

There wasn't much written on the back of this card sadly.  It just says, "Hello from Finland's Lahti city" and a signature that is a little hard to read.  Still, the card looks yummy!

I like this stamp, it isn't the regular rectangle.  It is nice to see flags on stamps too!

Jeroen sent this fabulous card from the Netherlands and sends his warm greetings from the oldest city there.  He likes to go to the movies too, but isn't really into Hollywood movies.  He thinks that Sean Connery is a great actor and hopes I like him too.  (I do, very much.)

Regina sent a very interesting card from Germany of a place called "Ruhrgebiet".  She says you can go on top (a lot of steps!!) and have a beautiful view around.

I was really happy to get this card because it is exactly the kind of card I love.  

Elizabeth sent this card from near London and wrote about the National Portrait Gallery.  She said it is one of the great (free) national museums.  There are advantages to living near London!

She writes that last year we celebrated the Olympics, the Paralympics, and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  This year, it is wall to wall royal baby coverage!

Last month she celebrated her 30th Wedding Anniversary.  She had a lovely weekend in the historic city of Bath with her husband.

Leonie sent this card from Germany, but it shows a place that she visited while on holiday.  She went to the Azores Islands and says that she hopes I don't mind her sending a card from the Azores as it is probably rarer than one from Germany.  She recommends that I travel there as it is a beautiful island.

Yaya sent this card from Beijing.  She writes that this card shows a film named Julia's Eyes from Spain. She said it is a suspense film and it played in Japan in 2011.

She also wrote that she is a big fan of the Kinki Kids, a J-Pop group.  She especially likes Tsuyoshi Domoto, who is one of the Kinki Kids and writes that she is a big big big fan.  She likes his movie called Last Present(I couldn't find any info on it) from 2005-2006.  She sends her best wishes.
