Malaysia - Food

This delicious-looking card arrived in my mailbox recently.  It was waiting for me when I returned from my holiday, so I was happy to see it. Davina didn't write anything very personal, but she was friendly.

She wrote,
"If you love food, then it is a must that you visit Malaysia.  And we Malaysians love our food so much! I'll list down some of it that you should try.

This delicious looking card arrived in June from Malaysia.  There isn't too much written on the back of the card sad to say, but enough that I don't feel depressed about it!

Phoenix wrote, "Hi, Sending you a food related card.  I got this from a supermarket in South Africa.  I went there for business.  Cheers, Phoe"

The recipe for the dish is on the back.  If anyone really wants it let me know and I can either scan it or copy it out for you! Scan would be easier for me!

I like the stamps...the two are golfing related, the other is a kind of plant.

KKK (those are his initials) wasn't very personal in his message on the back of the card. He said,"Hello!  Malaysia is country located at Southeast Asia.  Over 30 million population in the 13 states.  Welcome to visit Malaysia.  Best wishes. KKK"

Lyen sends many greetings from Malaysia.  She is sending this card and hopes I like it. She writes that she also likes movies, especially Japanese movies that describe family, children and loves.  She finds these kinds of movies touching :-) and notes that she is kind of sentimental! She closes by wishing me Happy Postcrossing and Good Day!

I believe that this is a Sock Monkey, but there isn't anything visible on the card about it!

 Gorgeous stamps and I'm so happy to see another Air Mail Sticker!  It's hard to get them here in Japan!

Rahman sent this card all the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  He writes that the day he wrote the card it was hot and very humid, so today he just stays indoors.  He hopes I have a nice day.

Wayne sent this card from Malaysia.  He writes that he has just graduated from high school and is waiting for his exam's result.  When he has the result, he can decide which college or university he can go to to further his studies.  He hopes he will get a good result.  He also hopes that I like this view card, the Petronas Twin Towers, a famous skyscraper in Malaysia.  He closes by wishing me a happy postcrossing.

The Petronas Twin Towers is today the most impressing and significant landmark in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

This large and very decorated (on the back) card arrived from Malaysia recently.  It was sent by Ni-San, who is a huge fan of Japanese anime and manga.  They said they read their first manga before they learned to read alphabets.  Their first drawing was a Japanese ninja.  It was a simple drawing of a person wearing a black hood (something-can't read it) over the face except the eyes.  And the ninja was holding a samurai sword in a striking pose.  They have no idea where did this samurai/ninja imagination come from.  They still keep the notebook where they drew this in a storeroom.

If you like watching romantic Japanese drama series, they recommend "Soratobu (something) (Public Affairs Office in the Sky) As for animated film, "Hotarubi no Mori e" is a good choice.  It is sweet, gentle and very touching.  T_T  They like "bishie" a lot (bishie=beautiful/handsome male character) but not "gay" (and similar kind).  They prefer normal or straight male characters.

Around the edge of the card is a listing of music that the writer is listening to while they write the card to me.

Wow!  Honestly, I'm not an anime fan, so I don't know any of the things that they talk about.  I could be too old, or, it might not be my thing!

There are some interesting stamps on this card too.  Have a look. The cancellation stamps are quite big and cover a lot of the writing and the stamps.

This lovely multi-card was sent by Jessica.  She tells me a little bit about her country.

She says," Nice to meet you!  I came from a small city located in East Malaysia, called Sibu.  Sibu has a population of 250,000 and over 40 churches.  We are truly grateful to enjoy religious freedom in Malaysia and hope it continues on for centuries to come.  May God bless you!"

Er...thanks.  Lovely card though.  I just heard that a friend of mine  is moving to Malaysia, so I'm excited for her!
