This card came to me from Jason in Hong Kong. He wrote a little about Hong Kong movies as well, so I was happy to receive his card.
He wrote,
"Dear Helen,
This is my first time sending a card to Japan. I am from Hong Kong. Have you ever seen Hong Kong Movie? My favourite movie in Hong Kong is Steven Chow movie, his movies are really funny.
Take care my friend. All the best to you.
Jason"
Just as a side note, there was a rubber stamped message on the back of the card that said there was 45 yen due on the post card! I am guessing that there wasn't enough postage. Oops. I didn't have to pay it though. Whew!
Here's the stamp that Jason used.
A place to show off the fabulous postcards that I receive, send and collect.

Hong Kong - Taiwan's Food
February 28, 2017
This interesting card came from a sender in Hong Kong. I was a little confused at first, because the card comes from Taiwan, but these things happen.

"Hello 😀
Taiwan is close to

have visited there before.
I love Taiwanese food
very much. Super delicious!
And Oyster omelet is
my recommendation!
😀 Best, Emilie"
Emilie used some really gorgeous bird stamps on my postcard. They are quite beautiful. Remember, if you click on the pictures, you can see them bigger! It is worth it for these stamps.

This rather attractive card came from Hong Kong, a place that I have visited a couple of times. It was sent by a fairly new postcrosser, since she mentions that I am the fifth person she has sent a card to. The picture on the front is interesting as is what she writes.
"Hi Helen.
Glad to pick you as my 5th Postcrosser. Reviewed your profile & found that you hv so many interests of postcard. And finally I picked the yummy food for you.
As a Canadian..believe you will feel disgusting of this delicious-spicy chicken finger. Hahahahah.....
Tell you sth about myself. I also hv family living in Canada. Toronto. Japan is a lovely place that I've been traveled few times & last time I've been in Tokyo last May. Nice to meet you here. Leave me note how you like this postcard.
Christie"
To be honest, I've never had pickled chicken feet. I've seen chicken feet at dim sum in Canada, but I haven't eaten them. I don't think they are disgusting, I'm just not sure that I want to eat them!
I've eaten a lot of things in Japan that many Canadians would look askew at. I think it is a bit presumptuous to assume that I would think pickled chicken feet are disgusting, but perhaps she was just trying to get a rise out of me!

He wrote,

This postcard came to me from Hong Kong and was sent by Jinis. She used some lovely stamps on the back and wrote a little bit about her country. I have visited Hong Kong a couple of times so I knew the facts that she wrote, but it was a nice gesture.
She wrote, "Greetings from Hong Kong! We're a special region of China from 1997. However we still keep our borders with China, we also have our passports and currency, etc. Cheers, Jinis"
The three bird stamps are really interesting, aren't they?

Dennis sent this card to me and used some lovely stamps on the back. He also writes about his visits to Japan on the back of his card.
He says, "This is a greeting from Hong Kong. I have never been to Yamagata, my nearest place I have visited is Kanita, Aomori-ken. Take the cross strait train from Hakodate, Hokkaido to there. I'd like to send you a positive energy card with Chinese saying, "If you want to fly high, you should forget the horizon!" こんばんは [Good Evening] Dennis"
Just a reminder that you can click on the card or the stamps to see them open in a larger window.

I really like these little stamps, particularly the Aquarius stamp because, yes, I am an Aquarian!

This card came to me after a long dry spell. I was quite despondent not to receive any cards this month, but finally one popped into my mailbox. It comes from Chris in Hong Kong.
He writes, "Hi, I am Chris come from Hong Kong, nice to meet you. I want to teach you some Chinese, hope you like it! [Here he writes out several kanji that I'm afraid I can't do for you here.] Thank you Hello Dog Cat"
A very nice, big and clear stamp. It's very cool.

This card came from Augustus in Hong Kong. He wrote a few friendly words on the back of his card. He didn't write a lot, but when English isn't ones first language it can be difficult.
Augustus wrote, "Hello. Nice to meet you, my name is Augustus from Hong Kong. There are about 7650 skyscrapers in my city. I hope you'll like it. Happy postcrossing ~A"
I have visited Hong Kong a couple of times and have walked by some of these buildings. The bright lights are quite beautiful at night. Last time I was there, there was also a light and music show in the harbour. It was amazing!

I don't know much about the stamp, but it says that it commemorates 100 years of Girl Guides in Hong Kong.

I received this cool little card from Yip in Hong Kong. I'm not really sure if she made this card herself or if she bought it, but I love it! It is really cool.
She wrote on the back," Hello, nice to meet you. I am Yip from Hong Kong. I love mushroom, and drawing. Handmade some about mushroom's little thing. This made me happy. This week I will sell my product in handmade market. Happy Postcrossing. Yip."
The stamp and the cancellation stamp are also very interesting. I really like them!

"Hallo! Greeting from Hong Kong. My name is "Fung Ki". I like music and travelling. My dream is be a backpacker and traveling whole world. What is your dream? Would you share with me, please?"
On the back of the card is a cute drawing of a Fung Ki and it says, " I'm backpacker." He has also written, "Happy Postcrossing!" & "12℃" and the message, "Wish you everything is fine in your life."
Thanks for the nice thoughts Fung Ki!
A tiny but beautiful stamp!

Yvonne sent a postcard with a birthday greeting on the front...perfect for me as it arrived a few days before my birthday. She sent greetings from Hong Kong. She said that she's a big fan of desserts because they can always make her feel relaxed and happy. She loves the vintage things in Japan rather than the modern ones. She asks about my thoughts.
Honestly, I love visiting the old places in Japan, but as I told her, I prefer to live in the modern ones!

I love getting postcards from places that I have been! In fact, I may have even sent this particular card to a friend myself.
Cathy from Hong Kong writes that this postcard shows the tallest building (on the left) and the second tallest (on the right) buildings in Hong Kong. However, she lives in a rural area with no towering buildings, but many trees and much greenery.
She notes that she loves taking the ferry across Victoria Harbour. She says it is very cozy and she can enjoy the views of Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.
I like this stamp. It looks like it would be a perfect stamp for Valentine's Day, but it says that it is Air Mail Postage.
Thanks Cathy!

Titanic is one of her favourite movies. She has watched it about 10 times, and says it is touching.
