Russian Trinity

April 3, 2014

On April 3rd, I received 3 black and white, movie related postcards from Russia.  They all have interesting stamps, and are interesting, so I am presenting them to you in a group.

Christina sent the first card.  She notes that Dalida was a woman of destiny.  I looked her up on the internet and she had quite a sad life really.

Christina also asks if I have ever been to Moscow - No--and what do I think about Russia.  I told her the truth, I have heard wonderful things about the people in Russia, but I have reservations about the government.

She finishes the card by telling me that it was snowing in Moscow but all her dreams are about spring, warm and sun. :)  She wishes me a nice day everyday.
Dalida
These are some scary looking ships...but the stamps themselves are rather interesting.

My second card is from Irina.  She attached a typed message onto the back of the card.  I'm guessing that her English makes it hard for her to write a personal message.

She said that she lives in a small central town in Russia.  She is a pensioner and lives alone.  Her son has a family that he lives with.   In her free time, she likes to go walking, writing postcards and using her computer.

She is also hopelessly addicted to Korean dramas.  Her favourite is Winter Sonata.  She then lists a few Korean actors before wishing me all the best.

Charlie Chaplin
The "bug" on the back of the card is a puffy sticker.  It was rather cute, so I included it with the stamps.

This card came from Olga.  She writes a simple message,"Greetings from Russia!  I hope this card is new for your collection and you like it :)"  She wishes me all the best and a Happy Postcrossing.

007 Barbara Bach as Major Anya Amasova and Roger Moore as
James Bond, The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

These stamps are quite unusual, and I'm sure I haven't seen the watch or the beach scene ones before.

Thank you all for your lovely cards!
