Lilli sent this card with her greetings from Finland.
She writes that the card is a painting by Albert Edelfelt. One of the most popular painters (1854-1905).

She wrote about the stamp on the back of the card. She said Juhani Aho, the national writer (1861-1921), was one of the first professional writers. He wrote for about 40 years. He had a big influence on the Finnish language.
She closes by wishing me a happy mailbox...!

That is a very atmospheric picture. Perhaps that is why men don't read - they are too busy admiring the women!
