After a little break where I didn't receive any postcards AT ALL, I was suddenly deluged with them! I came back on Sunday to 7 cards waiting for me. That means that hopefully it will be a little while before I have to post my "waiting for cards" post again. Yay!
Arthur from The Netherlands sent me this very cool card. It's a little bit folded, and a little bit like a Japanese "secret postcard". It is longer than a usual card when it is unfolded.
He writes, "Konnichiwa! Last year I have been in Japan for four weeks, from Fukuoka to Tokyo. The year before that in Calgary, Edmonton, Fort Macleod, and the Rockies. You know these places. I work in nature conservation. Nature is important! Greetings from the Netherlands."
This is such a bright and happy card! It mirrored how I felt getting cards after such a long time without any.

Chris sent this postcard from France. It has a recipe for meat fondue on the back of the card. Alas, it is beyond my schoolgirl French abilities so I think I'll have to look up an English version of it for myself!
He writes to me, " Here is a postcard from France--all the ingredients that go into a traditional dish called Burgundy Fondue." He continues by saying that he is an expat like me, who lives with his foreign wife in a small town in the Burgundy region, central France, close to the vineyards and the Leire River."
He closes by wishing me a happy postcrossing!

There were also some interesting stamps on the card. The one on the right shows a sport I was unfamiliar with, French Kickboxing. It's a very colourful stamp :-)
I hope you didn't miss me too much!
