Spain

May 12, 2014

I received this card from Spain recently.

It has a short and sweet message on the back of the card.  The sender said, "Hello!  A postcard of a little village near de French and Andorra border.  Best wishes, Luiseme50"
View of Sant Victor de Figols d'Organya

Thanks for the card!

What a delightful looking little church.

Isn't it? I can't help wondering how old it is, it looks ancient.

I've read (http://www.ccau.cat/via_romanica/cat/faristols/faristol_35.html)that it dates from 1051 (wow!). But it has been burnt and restored several times, so maybe few features are originals. This is a zone I like a lot, full of these ancient art.

Thank you Hawwa! I looked at the link but it is in Spanish...which I can't read, but I liked the diagram and I got an idea of what it said.

I love ancient buildings!

Not Spanish, but Catalan. I looked for a link in English, but I didn't find any, sorry.

Ah, my mistake. In any case, I can't read it, although I guessed at a few words that are similar to words in French or English.

And, thanks for looking for an English version, I appreciate it very much. :-)
