Germany - Actors

Pia sent this card to me from her home in Germany.  She wrote a friendly note on the back and covered almost all of the back of the card! She even included information about the weather and the temperature.

She wrote,
"Cloudy/rainy +8℃

Hello Helen,
My name is Pia, I'm 43 years old and live with my husband Sven and my tomcat Sacenrey [really hard to read so I'm sure I have it wrong] in the south part of Germany, in the middle of Black Forest.

I'm in early retirement, because I have been very ill for 11 years.  That's why I love Postcrossing, because that's where the world comes to me.

Irina sent this card from Belarus with a little info about her city and a trolleybus ticket pasted on the card.  I can't say I've ever had that before, but I quite liked it.  We don't have anything quite the same here!

She wrote,
"Hello Helen!
My name is Irina.  I'm from Belarus. I live in the city of Gomel.  Gomel is the second city in Belarus. I send you a trolleybus ticket from my city.  On the postcard you can see the chapel tomb of Princes Paskevich. this is one of the attractions of Gomel.

This is a coat of arms for Rahachow, a Belarus town.

Taiwan - Tea Related

This beautiful card came from Vivien in Taiwan, complete with gorgeous food stamps and an informative message.  Yay!

She wrote,

"Konichiwa Helen.  My name is Vivien, and I live in Tainan, southern Taiwan.  I'm sending you a card showing a Chinese tea shop/house (or a regular house?) in the 16th century. On the stamps are a meatball and stinky tofu.

Bon appetite! 😀"

Harold sent this beautiful card to me from Austria with some very interesting stamps on the back.  He wrote a friendly message on the back too.

He said,
"Servus Helen!
On one of the stamps you'll see Austria's most famous actor Christoph Waltz. I really love his performance and his impressive voice and I'm waiting for his new film 'Downsizing'.

Apologies for not keeping up with posting on this blog. I am finding it difficult to keep up with my Postcrossing as well.  January is a busy month and this winter has been quite hard in my little city.  I have to waste good Postcrossing time with shovelling snow....

This card arrived from Charlotte in Germany.  She sent a lovely bright card and wrote a friendly note on the back too.

She wrote,

First card of the year!

I received this card from Alex in Russia. He wrote on the back of the card in both Russian and English...whew!

He wrote,

" My name is Alex. I am 27 years old.  I live in Crimea.
I like reading, sports, listen, to music, watch movies and TV serials, zest[?] with my friends.

I collect coins, stamps and banknotes.  Greetings from Crimea! Good luck!
