Germany - Food

July 26, 2018

This photo-card came to me from Sven in Germany.  He wrote a note that is a little hard to read, so if I write it out wrong, please understand!

He wrote;

Hello Helen,
Nice greetings from Sven. I'm a 45 year old single from Oldenburg. It's a town with 165,000 peoples in the northwest of Germany. I like listening music, reading books, working in my flower garden and watching series, movies (action, crime, sci-fi, I like Bond with Pierce Brosnan), documentaries and sports on TV. Have good time,  with the best wishes, Sven

These are very intriguing stamps. I rather like them!

Germany - Tea

June 27, 2016

I'm not really sure what to say about this "card".  Yes, it's made of thin cardboard, yes it has a note on the back, yes it was stamped, but I'm not really sure that I consider it a postcard.  I know that some postcrossers like to have recycled cards or cards made from random stuff from a sender, but I'm not one of them.  If I was, I'd say so on my profile.  I don't.

However, [deep breath] I think the intention of the sender was good, and I do like tea related POSTcards, so I'm trying to be okay with this.  I would never send something like this out personally...just don't feel it is a fair trade for some of the lovely and expensive cards that I send.

The sender writes, "Hello!  I am sending you greetings from Greifswald/Germany!  Greifswald is not very large about 56,000 inhabitants.  There are a lot of students-nearly 10,000.  That's why our city is very young and has a lot to offer culturally.  Our university is one of the oldest in Central Europe.  It was founded in 1456.  I work in a public archive.  I am a professional archivist.  I like reading, I have a library with about 1700 books.  I like BLACK TEA 'THIELE TEE'. All the best, HAPPY Postcrossing"

I really like the stamp.  I think the Porsche is rather beautiful!

Poland

April 22, 2016

This card came from Alan, he's a photographer and made the card that he sent.  He wrote a lot on the back of his card, which was nice to see.

He wrote, "I am Alan and live in Poland.  I'm a student and learning in high school.  I love learn to german language, culture and all about Germany.  I like photographing too.  Many people ask me "where I bought the camera" or "what is the model." So I answer "this is only cellphone and this view on the photo makes it wonderful." So I watch no films, maybe one per month.  I love to go out and meet with friends :D  It's very important for me. This card shows some photos from Poland.  This card I created on my PC. So this card is my first to Japan =D I am so happy :-) So...How are you? What is the weather in Japan.  Now in Poland it's 15℃. So I wish you a good day and I wish you Happy Postcrossing!  ~ Alan

This is quite a beautiful stamp.  To me it looks a bit like a Ukrainian Easter Egg, but I honestly don't know what it represents.

Germany

March 4, 2016

Ines sent this homemade card to me from Germany with a friendly note on the back.

She wrote,"February 26, 2016
Greetings from the "Green Heart" of Germany! I live in a small old farm together with my husband and 2 cats. Our 2 boys are adult already.  Happy Postcrossing!  From Ines."

No idea where this picture shows.  A bit sad really.

I quite like the machine stamp.  It's very attractive.  The little flower is pretty too.

Hong Kong

July 23, 2015

I received this cool little card from Yip in Hong Kong.  I'm not really sure if she made this card herself or if she bought it, but I love it!  It is really cool.

She wrote on the back," Hello, nice to meet you.  I am Yip from Hong Kong.  I love mushroom, and drawing.  Handmade some about mushroom's little thing.  This made me happy.  This week I will sell my product in handmade market.  Happy Postcrossing.  Yip."

Yes, this is a shaped card.
I put the black behind it to make it stand out more.

The stamp and the cancellation stamp are also very interesting.  I really like them!

Thank you Yip!  I love the card and stamps!

Spain

September 2, 2013

The sender of this card also made the card.  She didn't write her name on the card, but did write about it.

She wrote that the card comes from Tenerife Island and shows some typical food from the Canary Islands.  She says that they eat a lot of fish with red or green "mojo" sauce.  People also eat rabbit, but she doesn't like it.
