My name's IGO and I live in a small town called Aracaju. My wife is grand-daughter of Japanese. Your last name is Shimada [I think he means 'her' last name, not mine.] I love desserts...My favourites are: Tiramisu, Brownie, Ice-Cream and Brigadeiro (typical Brazilian dessert)

I've had the middle stamp before, but not the two around it.  Quite nice ones!

An interesting stamp with texture.  The "coin" that the 90 is on is slightly raised and the lines shimmer in the light.  It's quite cool.

Joao sent this cool card from Brazil.  He writes,"Hope you'll like this card.  It shows Oscarito, a Brazilian movie actor, his films were made around the 50's, it's a long time ago."

 He goes on to say," The stamp shows a Brazilian movie actress (musicals) born in Portugal and she starred [in] a lot of musical films in Hollywood."  He sends his best regards.

Carmen Miranda

Carmen Miranda was still famous when I was young, so I love this stamp, it's amazing. I'm so glad the post office in Brazil didn't cover her face with their stamp.  I also am happy to learn about another actor, Oscarito, that I had never heard of before.

Luis sent this great Harry Potter card from Brazil and wrote me a nice letter.  He told me that his sons are fans of Harry Potter and they have sticker albums and postcards. They were nice enough to give him a card to send to me, so I am a lucky woman! He hopes I like it, and of course I do!
