A Thank You Card

Apologies for not blogging for a while.  These days I am not able to send out as many cards and I haven't had time to blog for a while.  I'll try and update a couple of times a week and see how that goes.

I received this interesting Thank You card from a person that I had sent a card to in March.  It was a lovely gesture for him to do this, and not a very common one.

He wrote that he was on a one day trip to Estonia and wishes me a nice spring.  Thank you Marcus!

This card was written in what looks like German, so I used my handy-dandy link to the Google Translate to see what it said.  If it doesn't make a lot of sense to you, well, it doesn't to me either!

Eesti, the city of Haapsalu Tere.  In Estonia there are 1521 islands, the island of Gaaremaa is the biggest.  My husband's grandfather lived in Saarumaa.  Good Luck!  Riina.

It's a beautiful card, no matter what the message means.

I find this stamp a little odd since it has the URL for the Sochi Olympics on it, but is from Estonia.  It's interesting, and I hope I receive another one some time with the cancellation mark in a different place so I could see the figures better.

Kaire sent this card to me from Estonia.  She wrote that she is writing from her summer place and only brought a few cards with her.  She apologized for not having a card that matches my wish-list, but then said this one shows both ends of the lifecycle of yarn :-)!

She writes that she likes to knit and crochet, and she usually has a couple of works going on at once. To limit the number of unfinished projects she has a rule: She can't start anything new if she hasn't finished two older works before.  That works well for her.

She sends her best wishes.

Interesting stamps.  I have no idea if these are normal stamps for Estonia or not.
