Japan

November 5, 2013

This card arrived from Japan a few days ago.  I enjoy getting cards from other people in Japan, there are such an amazing variety of cards available here and the stamps are almost always interesting too.  I also wonder about what language will the writer use.  I hope in English for me, but I've had a few that I've had to have my husband translate for me.  This one was happily written in very good English!

It says,"Hello, Helen! Greetings from..... Pref.  My name is Kiyoshi." He goes on to thank me for picking two of his cards as favourites.  He lives in the hometown of one of the major Japanese Automobile makers.  He wishes me nice autumn days to close.

It's a great James Bond card!  I loved Connery as Bond....and this has that early 60's vibe going on.  Thanks Kiyoshi!

Disney Toy Story Stamp
The stamp is also very neat.  I bought a sheet of the 80 yen Disney stamps to put on my overseas cards, but this is a domestic stamp.  It's a cute addition to a great card.

For me, Sean Connery was the only Bond!

He was wonderful. I quite like Craig though, but yes, Connery rules!
