United States of America

November 22, 2013

Les from the US wrote,"I'm Les, I live near Nashville, Tennessee.  I studied history in college.  History is one of my passions.  I love Tennessee partly for this reason.  There are so many historic places or events that took place here.  I hope you like this card.  I love her proud, wise and courageous expression.  I think it speaks volumes about the American Indian.  Best Wishes!"

Hmm.  I'm not sure I agree that her expression is either proud, wise or courageous, but perhaps that is just me.  I think she looks like a petulant teenager!

The stamps that Les used are great, and I really like them.  The Johnny Cash one is quite interesting to me too.

I agree with your observation. While it is a fantastic historical portrait, she certainly looks like she did not want to have her photograph taken!

Thanks! I was a bit worried about writing that in case it came over the wrong way, but I've seen that expression on my niece when she doesn't want to do something....or on my face when I was younger!

Thanks for leaving a comment today :-)
