Finland

June 9, 2014

Ann sent this great card to me from Finland, and it's a beauty.  In fact, I had it on my favourite wall, and Ann said that it was also one of her favourites too.

She tells me that she knits and crochets a lot, the last project she had was a yarn bombing at work where they crocheted a giant "spider's web" for an arts day they had at the end of April. She said it was great!  She sends her best wishes.

Granny's Lace Throw
The stamp is really unusual too.  I like it, but wonder if there is a name or an explanation for it!

Thanks for a great card Anne.

That is a lovely card. Sometimes I think knitting and other delicate hand crafts are slowly dying out, but then along comes a gem like this to tell me that all is well!

It's very sweet isn't it? I can't tell if she is crocheting or knitting though, but that is part of its charm....
