Belarus - Food

January 13, 2015

Anna sent this yummy looking card from Belarus.  She wrote that on the card there are draniki.  Draniki-potato pancakes, are a dish of Belrusian cuisine, popular in Ukrainian, Russian, Eastern European and Jewish cuisine.  Traditionally they are served hot with sour cream, butter or machanka[sour mushroom soup].  Draniki prepared quickly enough to fry them on both sides until golden brown and during this time are ready.  This is a very tasty dish.

Thanks for the info about it Anna!

Beautiful stamps.  The ferret one is cool, and the rose one looks quite pretty too.
