Japan - Gotochi Card - Tokyo

June 17, 2016

I received this card yesterday and I am already posting it for you!

Yuki sent me this card in an envelope, and didn't write on it, but included a lovely note to me. It was so nice of her to send me this card, and she used gorgeous stamps on the envelope as well.

She wrote, "こんにちは Helen!  I'm Yuki lives in Tokyo.

I found your "favorite" GOTOCHI from my collection so I'm sending this to you!

I was born in Iwate, and I live in Tokyo alone now.  I have been to Yamagata many times.

I want the rainy season over soon!

Best wishes,

Yuki"

The Gotochi site translates the name of this as
Shibuya Scramble Intersection
Have a look at these amazing stamps.  The three on the left side are rather old, the first two have dates on them in the 70's.  I don't think I've seen them before, but they are wonderful.

Thank you so much Yuki for a fabulous Postcrossing!

So nice! The illustration of the postcard would be beautiful even if it wasn't a Gotochi card, love it.

Aww! Thank you. It is a cool card and it was one that I didn't have already so I am doubly happy about it!
