Japan - Gotochi Card

April 13, 2015

I received this fabulous Gotochi card from a member in Japan.  I had received a copy of it from a friend who visited Hyogo too, but this was a lovely treat to get in the mail.

The message is short and very nice.  The sender asks how I am and then says that she's from Kobe-shi in Hyogo-ken. She continues,"I love to travel and I've been to Canada four times.  I love to ski too.  Last winter I skied in Zao.  [A mountain partially in Yamagata-ken, my prefecture.] I hope you will like this newest Gotochi card of Hyogo.  Enjoy Spring and Happy Postcrossing!!

Lovely card with the matching stamp on the back and the cancelation mark from Kobe!  It's probably the closest I can get to a Maxi-card in Japan.

Ooh, I like the way she spaced the stamps so the cancellation stamp could fit in between them. That is a great idea!

Didn't she do a lovely job? I was really thrilled to get this one, even though I had already received the card from you!
